Ocooch Mountain Acres offers rentals for groups of friends & families. You may chose to stay at the historic LOGAN MILL LODGE in downtown Westby or, if you prefer the country, you may stay at the AVALANCHE EAST on a 160 acre maple syrup farm between Westby, LaFarge, Viroqua, and Cashton.

This historic 7,000 sq. ft building was built in 1905 and had trains running on both the east and west sides of the building.  It was first used as a Cargill grain storage facility, next used as "Westby Cooperative Seed exchange in 1919, in 1940 Ben Logan purchased the property and ran it as "Westby Feed and Seed".  We purchased this amazing building in 1999 and renovated it into 3 rentals and a party room for you to enjoy with your family and friends.

Unit #1

• Our rentals are great for business meetings, retreats, weekend getaways, family reunions, hunters, fisherman, weddings & more.
• Use of 1000 sq. ft. party/meeting room for small additional rental fee. Party room can seat 48 around tables. Includes use of computer, projection TV with 10 ft screen (can show Power Point presentations for business meetings or photos for a party), restaurant equipment for food prep/service (large freezer, large refrigerator, large salad bar, steam table for serving 3 pans of hot foods, 10 gallon steam kettle for soups, 4 compartment sink).

Unit #2

• European style decor including Scandinavian design furniture. Focal point of this unit is the original freight elevator that was used to lift bags of seed to second floor for storage during the years when this building was used as a farm seen exchange business..
• Full size kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, stove, side by side refrigerator with ice maker, crock pot, roaster, cooking pots/pans, coffee maker, serving  dishes/utensils.  Dining room table seats 8.
• 4 people can sleep in 2 bedrooms (queen beds), plus 4 more people can sleep on a day bed in Living room. Rental rate is $150/night for up to 8 people.
• 2 bathrooms, one with shower, one with Jaccuzi tub/shower
• Guests can relax in the Jacuzzi whirlpool or by the fireplace.
• Large living room with a 37" High Definition Flat Panel Monitor with  ability to be used with a laptop computer for presentations.

NOTE:  if condo units are rented by the same group of people,  the rental rate is discounted. Call for more information.

These cabins are at one of the highest points in the Ocooch Mountains, overlooking the little village of Avalanche where people come from all over the country to trout fish in the West Fork of the Kickapoo River and hunt deer & turkey. There is a 1 mile long hiking trail through our 156 acre farm which has a 10 mile view of the surrounding hill, valleys and the maple forest.

One cabin sleeps 2 people and the other sleeps up to 4.

Cabin #1

This is a camping cabin that sleeps one or two people! We offer a 12 x 22 ft. cabin for camping with a kitchenette, microwave, refrigerator, water cooler, TV/DVD, table & chairs and a futon for 2. Use of bathroom at our main farm house about 50 ft. from the cabin.

$25.00/night for 1-2.

Cabin #2

This cabin is a 1 bedroom with additional sleeping in the living room on a futon. Full kitchen and bathroom with a shower. All linens provided for both cabins.

#75.00/night for up to 4 people.

Large Deck  off second story of  house  and carport under the deck; original Windmill and Root Cellar used 100 years ago have been restored.

Renters of the cottage have exclusive rights to use the 156 acre farm for  deer hunting, morel mushroom hunting, turkey hunting and hiking. Our farm is an organic property and we are a working maple syrup farm. We have 80 acres of open and 80 acres of wooded land .
